The interview process is a three step process. First you arrive at their downtown Kingston office. Then you join a long queue and wait to be prescreened. The prescreening process entailed them looking thru your documents and writing down your responses on a laptop. That process was fairly fast with around 2 minutes per person and there were around 5 people doing the screening. I suggest walking with a snack as at times it’s hundreds of people. Those who passed the prescreening were led to sit on a chair and await transfer to the elevator upstairs. When they reached upstairs they had to sit again and wait on the assessment. During the assessment they were in a room with either two or three other applicants and given a paper to read. This paper was basically a script about Digicel and is pretty straightforward except that some might have difficulties pronouncing names of some countries. Then during the same assessment, persons were asked to go thru a scenario where a customer was roaming and lost credit due to no plan. It was basically a role playing situation. After that then you were taken back downstairs in the elevator with an employee who had the envelope with your fate in it. This part was silly at most. As you were brought to stand infront persons who were being prescreened or could see you. You opened the envelope and if successful you were asked to accompany back the same person upstairs to wait on the third part of the process. If unsuccessful you go thru the door or I don’t know what else. When upstairs again waiting on the third part, you sit and await your turn. Then you go into the interview. The person asks why Digicel and about you. Basically simple stuff. Looks thru your resume and that interview can last anywhere between 2 and 5 mins. After that you watch your email and perhaps get a message saying you are accepted or not within a day or two. They don’t reply to emails it seems. So that’s an improvement needed. They in the business of communication but that’s severely lacking.
