Had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize, and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued.
He replied with a passive-aggressive email stating that my interview wasn’t on his calendar and if I had an issue I should’ve looked for his phone number in his email signature and called him first. Shortly after I got an email saying I am no longer being considered for the position.
I have years of regulatory experience working for a well-established 5-star Medicare managed plan. There is a lot I could have brought to their company but after this experience, it’s a hard no. If HR is toxic like this, what does it say about the rest of their company? This is how companies shut out candidates who can potentially help them grow.
