Deutsche Bank's hiring process has four steps : online form, online Situational Judgment Test, phone interview and assessment center. The phone interview was solely competency-based. The interviewer, a senior manager at DB Technology, asked me around 6 or 7 of the typical "Tell me about a time when ..." questions. I then had the opportunity to ask her questions. The assessment center is composed of a technology case study, 3 interviews (technical, competency and case study-based) and a group exercise. The case study consisted in a proposal for a web application, with either a business analyst focus or a developer focus. The following interview had me present my solution for 15 minutes and 15 minutes of questions from the interviewer. During the technical interview I was asked to write some code on paper. The group exercise was not technical.

This was the worst interview experience I have ever had. I had 3 back to back interviews with 3 leads from different divisions. First of all, the interviewers seem uninterested and inward. Questions were vague and little had to do with accessing any technical or personal skills. I even had one interviewer who had to pause the interview 3 to pick up phone calls.
