Interview
Recruiter was very enthusiastic and supportive, and general interview experience was quite welcoming and pleasant. Interview was for 'intern' position with intern training provided, but they expect you to have graduated. Apparently 90% pass and stay on after 3 month initial probationary period.
After reviewing CV, two part interview (usually done same day):
- Technical interview
- Behavioural interview
Technical part starts off by asking questions about what you've done in the past and what technical skills you have. This is followed by a typical Leetcode easy to medium question done in your preferred language, probably just trying to screen out people who can't code or communicate to a basic standard.
The main technical bit was a broad system design exercise. Given this is an entry-level role more guidance is given and expectations are adjusted, but still not easy. I guess it helps to differentiate the ability of candidates though.
Behavioural interview was fairly typical, just the standard questions about motivation, learning, teamwork, aspirations, etc.
