They will just waste your time and efforts till the last round. I was interviewed for the Account Manager – Paid Social role at Dentsu through Aptita. The interview process consisted of 5 rounds spread over more than a month, all of which I successfully cleared.
Throughout the process, the feedback during interviews was positive, and there were even salary-related discussions, which indicated that things were moving forward. However, after completing all rounds, I was rejected without any clear or formal explanation.
What was most disappointing was the lack of communication from HR. Despite multiple follow-ups over email and WhatsApp, I did not receive a proper rejection email or timely updates. For a candidate who has invested significant time, preparation, and effort across multiple rounds, this felt very unprofessional.
Dentsu is a highly reputed organization, and I expected a more transparent and respectful candidate experience. While rejection is understandable, clear communication and closure are the bare minimum candidates deserve.
