2 partners interviewed me. Normal questions: why law school, plan after graduation, why this practice area, previous internship.
plus a 2 hour written test with four questions. translation, short legal memo, chinese law question
The process was fair in my opinion. It was one round of interviews after applications. They communicate both acceptances and rejections which I found to be reassuring. Though they did call me 3 days before the interview to inform me about it. I felt like they could have done a better job there. The interview was very competitive but it felt like a fair and balanced process which I appreciated. It was relatively easy to navigate as a first generation law student. Some firms require connections that can sometimes be hard to get or some inside information while I felt like this one was largely merit based.
