I was contacted by a consultant post which I received a call from the HR. He started the process by forwarding a Coderpad assignment link.
This was followed by the on-site interview. 3 technical and 2 managerial rounds were conducted.
Technical rounds consisted of a mix of coding, designing, troubleshooting and code review.
In the managerial round I was asked about my prior experience, my projects and achievements. The last one was a managerial/behavioural round where I was asked about the situations I faced in my career so far.
Following is my takeaway from the interview process:
1. The rounds were quite practical, most of them would evaluate on basic concepts and how much hands on the candidate is.
2. I especially liked the code review and troubleshooting round. Quite innovative.
3. Behavioural round was quite unique. I was made to think about all my companies right from the start, situations I faced and how I handled those. This would give a real picture of a candidate's behavioural aspects.
This was followed by a couple of calls from the US team. After that I got the offer letter within a week.
