I interviewed at Deep Consulting Solutions in Apr 2021
Interview
TLDR: I applied only for free real coding challenges and ended up on the strangest interview with a guy who thinks he runs Palantir.
Funny. Just kidding. Strange. Very strange! Of course it's the part where they ask you the question "What will your job be?" which you know they are going to ask you and which of course is a bs question. They invested time in writing this very long job description (I word counted it and it was 1408
+ the part about the company itself) and they just can't get over the fact that some people don't read / can't understand their job description. They then assume that you wont be able to do the job. I think that that's just an irrational assumption. They run a performance oriented company from what I've read and I'm guessing they are the kind of company where if you say you need 2 hours to do something they say "I think you can do it in less." which is ok but not for the pay they are giving. They expect their programmers to be hungry for work and money but true programmers are just normal people who have a passion towards coding and just want a job from time to time to pay the bills. As I said, funny. Not kidding this time tho.
You went through all the effort to word count the job description and write this review and yet you could not bother to read the job description before the meeting which we told you in pre interview communication we will ask you about. If you were not okay with that you could have canceled the interview.
And yes we only want to hire people who are really interested in working with us and are serious about the job - if you aren't serious about the job, then why should we be serious about you?
Why would a company ever want to hire somebody who is randomly applying for a job without having read and understood the job posting? Why would a company pay money to and rely on somebody who can't even do that? If you can't follow my directions before I pay you money, why should I expect you to start doing that after I pay you money? If you can't read a job posting which I warn you I will be checking understanding of, why should I expect you to read project requirements in a real project context and do so in detail and well?
It is my opinion that your arrogance is distasteful. I sincerely hope that one day you will re-evaluate your life - till then you will probably be very busy looking for jobs and doing so unsuccessfully.
