The interview was 1 on 1 witn the sales manager. He asked up front what my salary at my previous job was and then proceeded to explain the commission structure at their company. First 2 years you get 40k base with 4% commission and after 2 years your base disappears to $5000 and then your commission increases to 5%. He said this structure was the only way to keep salespeople motivated. Also get car allowance $300/month or use of a company prius. Given that the company presidents drove a Jaguar convertible and a Range Rover, it seems they are in a position to pay a bit more competitively for the bay area.
After the interview, I withdrew myself from further consideration.
On indeed.com, the company "name" is Food Distribution.
