I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
The process was very professional and very well thought out. The recruiting team makes a tremendous effort to be transparent with you.
During the on-site, they start off by giving you a Databricks package that includes a shirt, stickers, and other Databricks appended attire. This is a nice touch and helps to make you feel welcomed and as if they value your time as an interviewee.
The team is very down-to-earth, professional, and willing to answer any questions you have. That being said, they make a firm effort to ask you the tough questions and vet you out.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (New York, NY)
Interview
First there was a phone screening, recruiter was very nice and it was straightforward, she talked about salary, job description and talked about next steps. Then there was a Zoom interview with the Hiring Manager who was extremely nice, outgoing and interested in the conversation. Last interview was a role-play and then another conversation with an SDR.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself Why Databricks How do you keep yourself organized Why should we hire you and not another candidate
1. Recruiter Screening
2. Hiring manager round (includes one mock cold call)
Interviewer was rude, keep looking down at something the entire time and was not actively listening. I eventually was rejected and I’m glad I did because I would’ve declined the offer anyway. I had high expectations about databricks being a revolutionary company but if this is the kind of people that the company has, then I’d stay away from it.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Databricks (London, England)
Interview
Process was straightforward, people I spoke to along the way were very friendly and approachable. I don’t think that I fit what they were looking for but the experience itself was positive. No feedback offered.
