I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Dallas (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
Interview was with a panel of 6 engineering department supervisors. Large table. Interviewee in the middle. Interviewers sitting around (span of 180 degrees) in a large conference room. The panel was very diverse ranging from Hispanic to Asian to White.
Applied in March. Did not get an interview until late June.
Interview was scheduled for 45 minutes. I completed it in approximately 20 minutes. A total of 9 questions were asked by panel.
There were a total of 3 positions. One was as an engineering assistant with the Dallas Water Utilities. The other was as an engineering assistant in the Utility Public Works Roadway Design dept. A third was mentioned briefly by the director (head supervisor) but was not elaborated on. Therefore, that position is unknown.
The dress code there appears to be relaxed. Business casual. Although I did see one staff member in jeans. Only 2 of the 6 panel interviewers were formally dressed with a tie but not wearing suit jackets. The rest were in business casual attire. I did wear a tie but no suit jacket.
