Application was via email, and it was not handled by a hiring manager, but rather the creative director.
They did not ask for an introductory call but straight away gave an assignment that comprises of 3 tasks to be completed in 3days. It seems to me that they wanted a very specific approach to the assignment, without being clear about it. They simply hinted, i quote "be mindful of what we might be testing you on." And when i took a different approach which still answers the brief, i was told my approach "which wasn't the original point". Lastly despite the job ad being on several job sites and LinkedIn, the CD concluded that their vacancy is not particularly urgent.
