A waste of time that I wish I could get back. Initially, you submit your application, and I guess if they like what they see, they invite you to complete a virtual interview in which you are on camera answering some questions. After you complete that, you are then asked to schedule a live interview with the hiring team. During that process, they request you provide them with 5 references, which is overkill especially if you are not sure you have the job. Then after you have given them the 5 references and your referees are bombarded with questions, you discover you were not selected. A complete waste of time and dumb process. Now the same people I asked to be a reference will probably question what happened to the last job they provided feedback of me to and I will have to explain that DLA piper was inconsiderate of everyone’s time. Then to rub the rejection in your face, the recruiters call you and verbally speak to you saying you didn’t get the job so now you are all in your feelings about it. Then 1 minute later, you get an email to rub in your face that you have been rejected. Red flags. Glad I did not go through to the next phase of the interview process because the HR specialist that would have been my supervisor was a little confused and to know this is how they treat their candidates makes me sick. Everyone has feelings and time is valuable. How about you all check references for the people you are considering for the job instead of for people who are only at the beginning stages of the interview process. Thanks for leaving a negative lasting remark because I will never recommend DLA Piper to anyone I know or meet.
