I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DISH (Denver, CO) in Jul 2016
Interview
What an absolute joke! BEFORE they even attempt to give you a F2F interview, your put through a 1 1/2 hour "Assessment" test online. This test consists of math, reading, economics, psychological situations, stress management etc. It's basically like taking a mini SAT all over again. It's timed and there's no score. Really DISH really????!!! Is this how you pre-screen candidates? Heaven forbid you actually sit down with another human being and decide whether or not they're qualifications and or resume "Fit" the role? Just goes to show you another way this evil monster Ergen still has the #1 spot of Worst Company in America to work for. If I would of know this prior to this assessment, i'd told them to pound sand... Stay away... total joke and ashamed they call themselves a Colorado company..
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DISH (Texas City, TX) in Sept 2024
Interview
The pace of the interview process was great. HR hiring manager kept me informed through out the whole process despite being relatively a little longer than expected. I had to make another interview because of new executive management addition but was very nice too.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Can you provide an example of a contribution towards 5G architecture in your current role.
Very smooth process. Took around two months to complete. Needed two recommendations and did two interviews. The University Relations team was very helpful and kept me informed. Also needed to complete an aptitude test.
Not a very intense interview. You have an initial phone interview, have to take 2 exams, an in person interview and a phone call (that can come whenever, I got a call on a Saturday afternoon) as a final check off. Just an annoying process.

Question 1
How to handle difficult people at work, work I am most proud of, how to approach problems.
