Interview
Einen richtigen Vorstellungsgespräch gab es nicht. Einladung zum Probetag, dann Probetag und nachdem Probetag kann man selber Entscheiden, ob es ein Job für einen ist. Zuerst bekommt man einen 3 Monatsvertrag, bei guter Leistung wird er um 1 Jahr verlängert. Dann bekommt man einen unbefristeten Vertrag, guter Leistung vorausgesetzt.
Overall the process was fine. There was always transparency in the process. The HR came bombarding with questions instead of having a discussion. For a leadership position, I also expected a feedback in the end but I received a generic rejection email.
Primero es una entrevista grupal. No hay comunicación previa, te mandan el enlace directo. Luego es una presencial, tampoco te preguntan disponibilidad, directamente te mandan el día y hora.. Te preguntan tu experiencia y cosas habituales. Exigen demasiado para lo poco que ofrecen de salario. Se trabaja feriados.
The recruitment process consisted of two stages:
The first stage was an online meeting, which provided opportunity for both sides to introduce themselves and discuss my initial suitability for the Technical Safety Officer role. It was a constructive conversation that helped set expectations and confirm mutual interest in progressing further.
The second stage was a face‑to‑face interview at East Midlands Airport. This was a more detailed and rigorous assessment of my understanding of aviation safety. It included a short practical written exercise followed by a series of scenario‑based questions, which allowed me to demonstrate the depth of my experience and how I apply safety principles in practice. The questions were appropriately challenging, fair, and clearly designed to explore my approach to real‑world safety issues. I was also given time at the end to ask my own questions, which the panel answered openly and with clarity.
Across both stages, the DHL interview team were consistently professional, courteous, and welcoming. Their approach helped create a calm and supportive environment, which made the process feel thorough yet relaxed and allowed me to perform at my best.
