Face to Face: He asked nothing from my resume, he asked only about those technologies which were not there in my resume like Spring Boot, Drools, Dynamic parsers, JMS, Jasper reports. Then he asked, have you worked on any ORM, I said I worked on Hibernate, he said but we need MyBatis. He said because we work on tight deadlines, we need people who know everything. Below are the skills that I mentioned on my resume, but he did not ask any questions related to any of the mentioned technologies: Core Java, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, SQL, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, Hibernate, Restful Web Services, MySQL, Oracle, SVN, Maven, PMD, CheckStyle, JUnit

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DBS Bank (Hyderābād) in Apr 2021

      Interview

I got my application through some consultancy, DBS scheduled the interview, and the overall experience was very Bad, Firstly they have given a hackerrank test, which I got cleared 4 questions 3 coding and 1 design. Then the interview got scheduled after few days They scheduled it at 9 AM, I connected through the Microsoft Teams interview link, The Interviewer started asking questions on Threads, Spring, Restful and ORM framework, Thread pool, sprint annotations and then the story started on Hibernate, I clearly told him I have worked on Hibernate but long back and not very well versed with the theories of it, but he kept on asking the questions on Same, He didn't even ask me about my project experience, my day to day activities, neither on my tech stack what I know and what I am working on, At last if you want to judge someone who has experience for over a decade in IT industry there is no point of asking him to take an only stupid test, and secondly, you should ask the person about his areas of work and skills, there are millions of skills in this industry, but not everyone is versed with all skills, and tech skill anyone can google and learn very easily.
