Working mothers, avoid this company at all costs!
Had a very negative and discriminatory experience!
My interviewer immediately became rude and dismissive after my daughter appeared in the background of my video (she wasn't loud/disruptive, my husband immediately picked her up and took her to the backyard). I was not asked any questions about the role, I was asked things like "are you actually interested or focused on working," and a 30 minute interview ended in 5 minutes.
At no point during the conversation did I become defensive or inflammatory, and I continually assured the interviewer that yes, I am a committed hard working employee, and the fact that I am a working mother has never been an issue for my performance.
Not only is this discriminatory behavior unfair, but it is borderline a labor-law violation. Just because I am a working mother, does not mean I am less qualified as a candidate. The same day I had an interview with this company, I had another company extend a job offer with a salary higher than this position was offering.
Once again, if you're a working mom, avoid this company at all costs!
