I was cold-called by their Head of Talent one afternoon, we had a quick chat about my experience and he asked if I could come in to meet the team for interview so we organised one for the following week.
I had a great chat with two employees there and everything seemed really positive, I was given a design task to do which I submitted on time to the Head of Talent. I had to chase him several days later just to confirm that he’d received it which should have been my first red flag. He said they would be reviewing a few days later and would have feedback. Several weeks later and still nothing, so I sent an email saying I would appreciate a response and feedback even if they had decided not to progress with me as I’m open to learn and grow. No response at all.
I see on Glassdoor that they have recently posted the vacancy, but to not even take the few minutes of time to send a ‘thanks but no thanks’ email is really inexcusable behaviour. I spent a lot of time on the task they sent over and even if I had received a rejection email after submission I would have walked away with a positive opinion of the company, but the radio silence now has really soured it for me. Remember you are trying to impress good potential employees just as much as they are trying to impress you.
Be wary of employers who ask you to take so much of your own time on ‘homework’ tasks. Can not recommend these guys.
