First off I was contacted by an in-house recruiter. She screened me for possible qualifications and experience. Then an interview was set up with the person that would likely be the supervisor of the position I was applying for. We discussed at length the position and what would be needed. After thorough discussion, it was apparent that I didn't have a key technical knowledge having to do with a FASB pronouncement. The interviewer said he would keep my resume on hand for future positions that might fit my experience. Very nice through the whole process. He was honest and forthcoming.
