This employer ghosts good applicants. Applied for a job for which I was well qualified and it was a serious and considered application. Contacted the line manager for the position, and after a week of no reply then HR. Both emails sent after the deadline for an update on the recruitment process. Not even a courtesy holding response, a rejection or a acknowledgement of my attempts to communicate. Just completely ignored. So I can only presume the application was unsuccessful- which happens and is fine. However, the terrible communication- gives serious red flags about working for this organisation.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cumbria County Council
Interview
I applied for a job through the company's website and after two weeks, I received an invitation letter for an interview. The interview was conducted via MS Teams and lasted for about an hour. During the interview, I was asked to prepare a 10-minute presentation on the topic "What makes a good business partner?". The interviewer informed me that I would receive a response within a week. However, it's been more than a week and I haven't heard back from them. They did not provide any feedback or even let me know if I was selected or not. I spent a week preparing for the interview, and it was disappointing to receive no response from them. Although they were polite during the interview, their behaviour afterwards was unprofessional. I do not recommend this organization and suggest that others avoid them.
