I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Crunchyroll (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
There was hardly an interview process. I spoke with the HR Director briefly, at which point they deposited me into a small conference room to wait for a panel. Three people from the management team walk in after a while. There was a younger person who seemed genuinely invested in the interview; however, one of the senior level managers gave the strong impression that they weren't taking the interview seriously, and the other made no effort to disguise their disinterest in the interview at all.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this interview lasted 5 minutes. Never at any point did they ask me about my experience. Right in the middle of me talking, the Sr. Director of Global Workplace Operations turns to one of the other managers and says, "When's the next guy coming in?"
They then proceed to say, "We're gonna step out for a minute and discuss. It's not bad... but it could be bad. We just need to talk."
Some time passes before they re-enter the room, at which point they offer me a completely different role that
A.) Isn't being recruited for yet
B.) Was being held by a current employee.
My impression from the interview is that they already had someone identified for the role I was interviewing for, and had designs to oust a current employee they didn't like. This interview left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I felt very offended.
We are sorry that the time spent interviewing was not a positive experience for you. We take all feedback very seriously. I have connected with that interview panel and while I know they were trying to uplevel the role they were considering you for, the way it was handled fell short on expectations. Again, feedback is a gift to us and we appreciate your note. Thank you.

it was not a wonderful one as you enter the building and are immediately felt unwelcome by al the current employees. It is not how you would like to feel when first interviewing for a job.
