      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Criteo (Barcelona) in Apr 2016

      Interview

The interview process comprised 4 stages: 1) phone interview with HR (CV screening, personality fit, general knowledge of the company); 2) analytical test (20 minutes 8 questions about Click through rate (CTR), Conversion rate, Cost per click (CPC), Cost per mile (CPM, eCPM), A/B test, incremental margin); 3) phone interview with a sales manager (here you need to be prepared to be challenged with questions like "sell me your product", "now sell me Criteo" and you need to have a clear understanding of Criteo business model -> CPC vs. CPA,CPM) 4) Sales pitch in front of the managers (you will be asked to prepare a powerpoint presentation about Criteo and present it to the managers who will pretend to be a fictitious potential client. It will be a pure negotiation as you will need to "close" this fictitious client at the end by agreeing on a budget to spend for the advertising campaign) TIP: Be concise and effective!

      Question 1

      - Have you checked our website to learn more about the position? - Tell me more about your previous sales experience (what were you selling, how many calls per day, how long the sales cycle, etc.) - Let’s say I am your prospective client, how would you sell your product to me? - What do you know about Criteo? - Let’s say I am an advertiser, how would you sell Criteo’s products? - What are your salary expectations? - When would you available to start? - Are you involved in other interview processes?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Criteo (Sydney) in Feb 2022

      Interview

3 rounds - 1st was a casual chat, 2nd with HR and 3rd with the Hiring manager. Short interview process in all however not the most organised. The vibe was very dependent on the person you interviewed with so hard to gauge the employer vibe.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Criteo (Barcelona)

      Interview

One call with HR for some explanation and skills review One call with a team lead One video call with two managers The third call was conducted by a new appointed manager that was clearly close minded and was not thinking out of the box for one second, it’s good to train your employees for sales techniques but make sure that they can go a little bit out of their role sometimes and use other techniques and soft skills. Time lost for me as you guys don’t give any news post interview plus really low compensation. No wonder why you have shitty reviews lately in Barcelona if you have such people in your team It’s ok to spam with your fancy videos but clearly does not apply to interviewers.

We’re sorry to hear you didn’t have the optimal candidate experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to give your feedback. This is something we take seriously, and are continuously looking to improve. Part of our development philosophy is to support and upskill team members as they move into management roles especially as they take on greater responsibilities in interviewing, and from past experience we believe having two managers of different experience levels in an interview can give a more balanced perspective. In our interview process we look at assessing core competencies and skills which are a requirement of our roles. We fully agree that in Sales, fresh thinking is important. If you have more specific feedback we’d like to hear from you and have further perspective on your experience, so we can continue to improve. Interview

Very well structured interview process. First there is a call with HR to discuss about your experience and how you would fit in the company. Second interview is a phone call with a team lead for a role play and again assess your skills. Final interview is the continuation of the role play plus some other questions.
