      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Karma (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

Credit Karma has a pretty lengthy interview process. It starts with a screening call with the internal recruiter. Then you’re passed through to the CoderPad interview. You get an hour to answer 6-8 coding problems. Next you have a hiring manager interview, stakeholder interview, peer interview and finally a case study. You have one hour for the case study and there’s nothing to prepare ahead of time.

      Question 1

What is your experience with A/B testing?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Karma (London, England) in Oct 2024

      Interview

4-5 stage interview process. - First you speak with an HR and the question often centers around your experience and what you have done relevant to the role. Typically, she will want to understand solutions or problems you have solved and the role it pertains. - Next is a technical oral interview with the person you will be reporting to if employed. She will typcially ask questions to test your understanding and knowledge of basic statistics as it pertains to product analysis, in my case specifically around A/B testing. - Next is another interview with another Lead that goes deeper into understanding of A/B tests, scenario based A/B question tests from hypothesis to set up that is more focused on the kind of challenges the company is looking to solve. - The next stage is then a SQL live tests around aggregation and use of Window functions etc. It was 7 SQL questions you had to solve in 30 minutes. Got 6/7 and didn't progress beyond this stage, which was supposed to be a python test. The SQL question are not really that difficuly. Easy - Medium Leetcode SQL questions. Just got undone by nerves at the final stage. The job was for £100k in London as an associate, so no surprises, it was very competitive.

      Question 1

We’re launching a new credit card (or personal loan) product for our customer and want to run an A/B test to measure its true incremental impact on applications, approvals, and revenue. However, we have a major constraint: We’re already running several high-priority, always-on marketing campaigns). All of these campaigns (existing + the new one) must share the same ad rotation / traffic source (e.g., paid search, meta ads, affiliate channels, etc.) and ultimately direct users to the exact same primary landing page / domain (we cannot create a separate test-specific landing page or pause any existing campaigns).
