Interview
I was placed through and agency and my contract bought out. The agency had to fight tooth and nail to get me 55K for art directing a bi-monthly publication, designing (senior) half of a monthly publication and designing media kits, advertising and branding for new publications. The art director on the monthly mag I worked on was making 45 K, I found out later. Lucky I had the agency on my side.

Pretty basic. Presented portfolio. They do consumer layouts for a business-to-business magazine portfolio. I noticed many of the art directors have their own office, which is positive. They wanted to know why I jumped around so much (I was intentionally freelancing from job to job).
