I applied online. I interviewed at Cranial Technologies (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
After submitting an application, I got an email that contained a link for a one-way video interview; there was a total of 3 questions. Then I was emailed to schedule a phone interview. Both of these interviews asked similar questions
The interview itself was okay, but both interviewers joined about 10 minutes late and didn’t acknowledge or apologize for it, which felt off. What stood out even more was that the meeting invitation specifically asked candidates to log in early in case of tech issues, yet the delay was attributed to technical difficulties. It came across as a bit of a double standard.
The interview also felt more like a one-way evaluation than a conversation. I understand interviews are somewhat formal, but the best ones feel like a mutual exchange. This one didn’t quite get there, which made it harder to get a sense of the team.
The company’s mission is genuinely meaningful, and I respect the work they do. However, the interview experience didn’t reflect the level of professionalism I was expecting.
Also, skipping a recruiter phone screen and going straight into a panel interview for the first round felt unusual compared to a more standard interview process.

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to interview with us. We apologize that the interview did not begin on time. This is not our standard, and we understand the inconvenience it may have caused. We appreciate your interest in our mission and effort you put into connecting with the team. Thank you again for your feedback!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cranial Technologies in Apr 2026
Interview
It was long. Got through two interviews and wasn’t given a chance to do the site visit which I think should be offered to everyone for a fair shot. I feel like the initial phone interview is okay, but people should be allowed a chance to show their personality in person versus over the phone or by completing the assessment they make you do. Not everyone interviews well and most people shine in person, at least I do.
