Positive process and great impression of the organization. I was contacted by email a couple weeks after submitting my application. (I did have an internal contact that may have helped me get a chance at an interview for this competitive job.) I interviewed with a panel of three people within the department that same week. My interview had a casual feel but was also professional with in-depth questions. We talked about my previous work and education history, exactly what the job would entail, the department as a whole, and specific activities in the museum. I heard back the following week as I was promised. Even though I wasn’t selected for the position, I was encouraged to stay in touch. I was also happy to receive great feedback on my interview and resumé.
