I was referred by an industry professional, and was able to interview first with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. It was a positive experience, mostly conversational rather than traditional questions. I moved onto the next round, interviewing with the Business Development Director and Chief of People, where it was a similar experience.
I was then invited to meet with the VP in person a week later, where I received a verbal offer, and an official written offer two weeks later from HR.
Unfortunately after I accepted and started the background check and submitted my references, the Chief of People called me one day before I was scheduled to start work, to inform me that there have been changes in the company, and that they will be rescinding my offer.
A month later, I saw that they posted this same exact role on job boards.
