I had an initially positive experience with the recruiting process. The recruiter was very proactive, reaching out promptly and coordinating interviews both with himself and the hiring manager. My first conversation with the recruiter went well and left me feeling optimistic about the opportunity.
However, my interview with the hiring manager felt unexpectedly cut short, and the tone shifted compared to the initial interaction. After the interview, I sent a thank-you email but never received a response from either the recruiter or the hiring manager.
After reading similar experiences shared by others here on Glassdoor, I can better understand the pattern. Unfortunately, this reflects poorly on the company’s communication and overall candidate experience.
A simple rejection email would go a long way. Ghosting candidates especially after multiple rounds of interviews is unprofessional and discouraging. How a company treats candidates during the hiring process often reflects its internal culture, and this experience raised concerns.
