IS Instructional Design & Delivery Specialist Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cooley (San Diego, CA) in Jul 2019

      Interview

The hiring process started off with an initial phone call with the hiring manager, then an onsite interview with some of the staff I would be possibly working with. My final interview was a demonstration of my presentation skills. This process took about four weeks. I would say that everything went as expected, great communication up until after my final interview. I was very disappointed on the communication after, they informed me that a manager would be contacting me about next steps early in the week. After a week went by and no contact from anyone, I reached out to my main point of contact and the hiring manager asking for an update which went unanswered. They basically ghosted me. After about a month of no contact, I applied for a position at a staffing agency which to my surprise, was a the exact same position I applied for originally. So, I at least got a little closure with the job. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they may have jumped the gun with telling me that a manager would be reaching out to me with next steps but, I would of appreciated some transparency since I put four weeks of my time into this company. Overall, the interview process went well but after, the ghosting was very unprofessional especially finding out that I didn't get the job by a staffing agency which, wasn't involved in the process from the beginning.
