I was contacted for a screening for a specific date, and I responded with a time. Time came and went, and I was never contacted. I followed up with an email that was ignored.
I applied online. I interviewed at Computershare (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2017
Interview
The first and only company where I had a group interview. You are interviewed alongside other candidates by multiple leaders at the same time. We were seated around a large table with leaders in front of the room and the event was facilitated by a HR rep.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions were “Name a time when”, “Give an example of”.
As soon as I arrived for the interview, I was taken back by the department manager and team lead. Before I could even sit down, the department manager turned and said, “you know you’re an hour early for this interview.” I was thrown off because I just KNEW that I wasn’t and I said, “the interview was scheduled by the recruiter in Texas and they are an hour behind, could possibly well be but I’m sure that I am not.” This man wanted to argue and I wasn’t there for that and the team lead interrupted saying she would give me the benefit of the doubt” so we sat down and this man proceeded to interrogate me about what I knew and didn’t know about his company and his position.. let me tell you, I felt like I was on the tv show COPS being in an interrogation room, holy moly, I’ve been in a professional environment for 15+ years and I understand not all interviews are the same but after that I knew I did not want to work for this company.

Question 1
What do you know about Computershare? What kind of transactions do we process? Are you familiar with stocks, how they work and what they mean?
This is an entry level position. You’re not applying for an exec level position.
Thank you so much for taking time to provide this feedback, and we are so sorry that you had this experience! I can assure you that our leaders are trained on how to conduct proper interviewing and this certainly wouldn't be aligned to our expectations. We hope that you will accept our apologies and consider us again should a role open for which you feel you are a great fit.
