Had a phone screening scheduled at 3pm. I log onto the call, nobody shows up. I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait - sometimes we run late and life happens. 15 minutes later, nobody shows. I email the talent acquisition manager to check that we are still scheduled for the interview. At 3:27pm I receive an email from them saying that they were having "technical difficulties" with MS Teams and that we would have to reschedule. Seriously? It took you 27 minutes to email me saying you were having technical difficulties while I patiently waited for you? The lack of haste in communicating these technical difficulties to me was completely unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. In the first 5 minutes of struggling to join any planned call/meeting/interview, I would PROMPTLY communicate any technical difficulties I was having that prevented me from attending, it is common sense and basic decency.
