I applied online. I interviewed at Communities & Local Government (Kathmandu) in Jul 2023
Interview
The interview was initially conducted in phone which was preliminary and final interview was done in person. There were senior HR team and the place was quite comfortable. It initially started with greetings and one by one team forwarded their question and were very generous. The process was very smooth yet professional.

Interview
Panel interview with 3 members including the potential line manager. It was a pleasant experience as the panel was friendly and warm. The interview started with a warm-up question to break the ice and make me feel more at ease. A total of 4-5 competency based questions with a set of 2-3 questions at the end to assess your natural strengths.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Communities & Local Government in Apr 2025
Interview
From the initial application to being offered an interview took three months. The interview itself was scheduled for 45 minutes. During the session, I was informed it would be a single-stage process, with candidates to be notified of the outcome promptly. However, over two months have now passed without any updates, despite follow-up inquiries.
Reflecting on the interview, the panel consisted of three members. The primary hiring manager was engaging, respectful, and attentive. Unfortunately, the other two panel members provided a mixed experience. One was notably distracted by ongoing activities in her office, to the extent of appearing dismissive and visibly smirking during the interview. The third panel member appeared largely disinterested, offering minimal engagement and little follow-up to my responses.
Within the first ten minutes, it was evident to me that the panel, apart from the main hiring manager, showed little genuine interest. This impression was particularly reinforced by the distracted and dismissive behaviour of the aforementioned panelist. This experience has left me concerned about the overall professionalism and respectfulness of the interview process. No feedback was ever provided.
