      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Comcast (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Very basic interview process. Simple questions, very minimal I/T questions were asked. The hiring manager was very impressed with how honest I was while still answering all questions the way they wanted. I was offered the position 2 days after the interviewing process.

      Interview

Application > Phone screening > Online screening / assessment > In-Person / Virtual Interview. The entire process takes approx. 2-8 weeks (includes a background check). The interview was straight-forward and conversational focusing on fit for the job rather than in-depth technical detail.

      Installation Technician Interview

      19 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comcast

      Interview

I applied then had a phone interview which lasted 30 whole minutes. The interview questions were endless (all STAR based) and I thought it was never going to end. I lost count of how many questions she asked. Very easy questions and she was polite. She then told me more about the position and said I have to attend an information session from 8am-1:30pm and during that time they do one on one interviews. Pay rate was 14.50 which is just too low for me and 10 hour shifts 4 days a week which is 40 hours. I decided that between the extremely long information session and the pay rate/hours, that this is not the job for me. I would have considered if it was higher pay though. I read other reviews where after the information session and your one on one interview, you go back the next day and take a math assessment or something. I'm decent at math but am I applying for college placement or a job here? Why is the math test necessary for Installation Technician? Lol. It just seems like too long of a process and the reward (pay and hours) is not worth it. That being said, I would definitely have gone the extra mile and would have attended a 5 hour, 6 hour, or 38474629 hour session if the pay was higher. Tired of all these wealthy companies paying people low wages for hard work and long hours.
