Question 1
Can you describe a challenging situation with a situation, and what actions did you take
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Columbia Basin Health Association
Interview
Phone Screening: HR personnel called to discuss experience and education relating to the position. Asked some behavioral-based questions. Provided detailed information regarding position benefits and compensation.
Second Interview: Zoom. With CEO and CFO. Behavioral-based questions. Focused on productivity and numbers. Admitted during interview that providers did not have good work-life balance and often take their work home.
Overall, the interview centered on my ability to see 25 or more patients a day. This would be difficult under normal circumstances, however, the patient population primarily speaks Spanish and does not understand English as a second language. Truly seems like providers are set up for a poor work-life balance.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Columbia Basin Health Association (Othello, WA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Had two different interviews- one was with management, the other was with the staff. They asked a lot of critical thinking questions. I had to speak in Spanish due to the position needing to know the language, so about one-third of the interview was Spanish. Had to show them I could type good on a laptop- they gave me a paragraph to type out while they watched.
