The whole process is about 3 months. Testing, polygraph and background check, drug test, sit along on the job, review of the job with other applicants, interview by panel, then hired.

The interviews themselves were straightforward, but the process to get them (tons of paperwork, background check, polygraph, etc) seemed a bit extensive for the type of role, though I understand why they do it for the integrity of the department and position.
