      Senior Engineer Interview

      20 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Colonial Pipeline in Feb 2025

      Interview

I first had a phone screen which was pretty typical and fine. Come interview time, I was interviewed by an engineer who had been around 20+ years and an engineering manager who led most of the interview. The manager prefaced the interview with "Some of these questions we do not expect you to answer but it will be good to see how someone with your experience does" which was very off-putting. I would say I usually do pretty good with interviews but they asked me very technical questions and I could only answer maybe 20% of them. The manager's attitude was not the best and I never heard back from them afterwards. Complete waste of time.
