      Interview

Longwinded and disorganized. At least 5 interviews and ghosted after. Quite unprofessional. Last interview was 2 hours long and they likely made their hiring choice much earlier in the process.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent interviews. We sincerely apologize that the process was disorganized and that you were not updated on the outcome of your application. This is not the candidate experience we strive for; we value our candidates' time and want each candidate to have a positive experience regardless of the outcome. Your feedback is much appreciated as it will help us identify how we can improve our processes going forward. If you have any further feedback you'd like to share, please reach out to us at letstalk@collectivehealth.com. Thank you again and we wish you the best in your job search.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Collective Health (Phoneton, OH) in Aug 2024

      Interview

TL;DR: Think I'm better off receiving a rejection and not working here. PROCESS I was informed this was a 3-round process, followed by a decision. I applied with resume and cover letter on 8/8 ○ First round: Recruiter phone screen, 8/19 ○ Second round: Hiring Manager, 8/21 ○ Third round: 4 interviews with 4 stakeholders, 9/11 - 9/12 INTERVIEW LOOP ○ Staff were polite and professional. Normal PM questions, relaxed atmosphere. ○ No proactive comms concerning the 3 week gap between second and third rounds. A simple, "heads up: we have several staff out of office until mid-September" would have been appreciated. ○ In rounds 2 and 3, interviewers alluded to management turnover, delays from staff being out of office, and budgetary concerns. The latter struck me as unusual, as the same role had been advertised several times on LinkedIn. POST-INTERVIEW AFTERCARE Disappointing, yet I believe being rejected was in my personal best interest. I want to be clear: I believe I had a recruiter who cared about my candidacy, but couldn't be forthcoming with information because of company processes. My interview experience, along with those of others here on Glassdoor, fuel my belief there are systemic problems at this company. ○ No comms from the company for over a week make me feel like I'm being ghosted. ○ Reached out via emails on September 24 and September 30th requesting if there'd been a decision. Replies mentioned limited staff availability and ongoing conversations about headcount. ○ Notified I was rejected on 10/4. Requested feedback from the team to help with future interviews; told none provided. That's standard, but disappointing. ○ I was asked to keep an eye out for an internal survey to document my interview experience. I'd rather socialize my feedback here, where job-seekers can be informed from my experience.

Thank you for your feedback. I can empathize that the delays and lack of communication during your interview process were frustrating and created a less-than-ideal experience for you. I appreciate that you took the time to share your feedback as we are always looking to improve our candidate experience. We value your perspective and wish you the best in your continued search.

      Product Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Collective Health (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2022

      Interview

The recruiter was late to the call, she was distracted and messaging during the discussion and couldn’t articulate the position beyond the description. Miraculously I was moved to the hiring manager, which was a treat where based on the incomplete job description and inability of the recruiter to expand on the role I basically walked through my background that I thought was applicable to the role. The hiring manager was somewhat combative in questioning and essentially unremarkable. I of course wasn’t moved ahead but only after I was ghosted for 28 days to get an auto rejected response. Honestly the recruiter and JD was the biggest issue here, the hiring manager was just the cherry on top. Company has a cool value proposition but recruiting is terrible…like maybe the worst I’ve encountered in a 10+ year career.

      Question 1

Just Google “Product Manager interview questions”, b/c that was the level of preparedness I felt the hiring manager spent preparing for the interview.

Thank you for your feedback on your experience during the interview process with Collective Health. Of course this is not at all the type of candidate experience we hope to create and we apologize that this was the experience you had. We take this kind of feedback very seriously and we have connected with both the assigned recruiter and hiring manager for the position, to share this feedback with them directly. In addition, we are currently reviewing our process around the creation of job descriptions and other aspects of our recruiting process so other candidates do not have this same experience. Lastly, if you're open to it, we'd love to connect with you directly to get more specific feedback about your experience. Please reach out to our recruiting@collectivehealth.com email alias. I will be in touch shortly thereafter. Again, we sincerely apologize for your experience but appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your candid feedback.
