I went through the initial interview process with CLR and was invited to a second-round, in-person interview. Everything seemed to be progressing well, and I was genuinely excited about the opportunity. However, on the day of the scheduled interview, I received an unexpected email from the company informing me not to show up because they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
This last-minute cancellation was both unprofessional and disappointing, especially since there had been no indication of changes up to that point. I followed up with a polite thank-you email and requested brief feedback, but I never received a response from anyone on the hiring team.
While I understand that companies need to make the best decisions for their teams, basic communication and respect for candidates' time should be a minimum standard. Based on this experience, I would advise other job seekers to proceed with caution, and I hope the company improves its interview communication moving forward.
