I applied online. I interviewed at ClickSend (Melbourne) in Mar 2026
Interview
HR call, followed by an interview with a member of the team.
HR Call
I was asked if I needed to ask my spouses permission for relocating to Perth, which was inappropriate.
Main Interview
The beginning of the interview went well, but then I was asked to do a case study review when there was only 15 min left in the call. I was also asked how long it would take to complete design work for their internal design system with only knowing at a high level what their product looked/worked like based on preliminary research about the company. I was also questioned on why my portfolio title was "Product Designer" when I had mentioned UX process in the interview. I was also asked what I would look for in hiring a junior designer in a portfolio/resume, and also what my hiring process would look like. This would not be a senior product design manager role, rather a product/visual design IC role with 2 direct reports and very little strategy or management.
