Disappointing Interview Experience – Hiring Manager No-Show
I had a highly frustrating experience with Cleveland Clinic during the hiring process. After initially applying, I was scheduled for a video interview, but the interviewer failed to show up without any prior notice or follow-up explanation.
I promptly followed up with the recruiter to reschedule but received no response—despite multiple polite attempts over two weeks.
Ghosting candidates after a missed interview reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism and respect for applicants’ time. Clear communication—even to acknowledge a delay or change—should be the bare minimum in any hiring process.
While I understand that scheduling conflicts happen, the lack of accountability and courtesy reflects poorly on the organization’s recruitment process. Candidates invest time and effort in preparing for interviews, and mutual respect should be a baseline expectation.
I hope Cleveland Clinic improves its hiring practices to avoid similar experiences for future applicants.
