Several weeks after applying for the position I had an hour + interview in their corporate office. I was told they were looking to fill the position by end of the month. The end of the month came and went, I called and left a voice mail with one of the employees that conducted the interview. Two days later I received a call inviting me to a second interview over lunch. Second interview went well, I was told I was 1 of 3 final candidates and they would let me know their decision either way at the end of the week. That week passed, I left a voicemail the next Monday asking for a call back and clarification if the position was closed. No reply. I call back the next Monday and leave another voicemail. Still no reply. I call and ask for the other employee that conducted the interview, I am told he is on vacation until next week. I decline the offer to leave another voicemail. I was excited at the job prospect and the company seemed like it treated its employees well but the unprofessional way that my application was handled is absurd. If you can’t make a 60 second phone call to let someone know if their application was chosen then you have no business recruiting and conducting interviews.
