I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Clean Air Engineering (Palatine, IL)
Interview
This was my first "real job" interview after college so I wasn't sure what to expect. I met with about 6 different people (CEO, CFO, person for whom the position was replacing, VP, Recruiter, and one other person). The VP was only interested in my past summer job on a golf course and didn't ask me any questions pertaining to the job I was interviewing for. No one seemed very prepared for the interview except the recruiter that set it up.
They asked me to come back in for the second interview the next day and I had to re-take the Wonderlic (panic and anxiety caused me to do badly the first time around) and then sat in a meeting where I met about 20 people (very awkward as an interviewee) and by the end of a 4 hour-long visit, I was offered the job.
I have since found out that was the longest, most stressful interview I have ever had to endure and that is not how they usually go...
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I did not expect to take a personality test and a timed Wonderlic "cognitive abilities" test, especially 2 minutes after walking in the door.
