I found the interview process to be efficient and thorough. First, the hiring manager and I had a nice discussion. The HR professional quickly followed up with me asking me to complete a job-related challenge. This absolutely piqued my interest, as my former employers required a top 10% finish of the CCAT (IQ test).
Citrine wanted to see first-hand what my thought process and capabilities are. After completing the challenge (it took me roughly 10 hours to complete vs their 4-hour estimate, however this is largely due to my perfectionism when it comes to my work). The next interview stage was presenting my slides, to which I didn't do great (ran out of time before covering question 2), as my nerves got the best of me. I did let the team know I was very nervous, and they were incredibly supportive, and always reiterated that they understood from their own experience of the process. This really stood out to me and showed me empathy, support and encouragement... everything you hope for from a team.
I was thrilled to once again hear back from the HR professional in a timely manner, and I then moved on to the final interview round, which was more just a follow-up to gauge how you mesh with the team.
Lastly, they require you to provide three professional references, whom they conduct short, 15-minute discussions with. In these discussions they not only are validating character and work-style, but they allso ask for tips on how you operate and best ways to support and coach you, similar to the DiSC style.
The best part is that none of these stages came as a surprise, as Citrine explains the process from beginning to end in an instructional PDF, so you are always aware of what stage you are in.
