My experience with Citi's interview process was extremely disappointing. It was marked by a lack of professionalism, disorganization, and an excessive time commitment that spanned over 5 months. I submitted my application in early June and proceeded through an HR screening via email. However, the process began to unravel from there. The first interview with the hiring manager was originally scheduled for the end of June, but Citi HR failed to send me the interview link, leading to a month of radio silence. The interview with the manager was eventually rescheduled for early August. The second interview with the hiring panel, which was initially slated for the 3rd week of August, took a wrong turn when HR mistakenly sent me a link with another candidate's name. Another month of radio silence ensued. In late September, I was scheduled for a third interview with a Director. However, my experience took another bizarre twist when, ten minutes into the interview, no one appeared. Eventually, a completely different person showed up, apologizing for the Director's absence due to a scheduling conflict. On the same day, HR sent an email mentioning that they were working on offer approvals. Despite this, there was yet another period of silence that lasted for a month. Finally, in November, I received an automated email stating that the position was no longer available. My overall impression of the Citi interview process is one of extreme frustration. It was not only a significant waste of my time and effort but also a testament to the company's disorganization and unprofessionalism. I would caution potential applicants against considering Citi as a potential employer due to these issues.
