      Teller II Interview

      30 Sept 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY)

      Interview

I applied on line and eventually was asked for a phone interview. I was called by a found 20 something who was definitely in a hurry. I have had teller, customer service, loan and financial services experience (successful) and I was asked typical. Why do you want to work here. Tell me about a time you satisfied an angry customer and when did you have to cross sell. Actually I had had 20 year successful career. Relocated so didn't mind starting over with new company, etc but I could tell interviewer had no idea what my experience was. Interviewer was located in Wisconsin and kept asking how far I would drive in Manhattan for a position. I told them public transportation would take me at least 5 miles no problem and probably 40 banks in area. he was definitely confused about area because he asked me again about driving.

      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2014

      Interview

First, the candidate needs to apply online and fill out a survey/questionnaire. Once that is completed, they wait for a recruiter to contact them. The interview with the recruiter includes questions about salary, work experience, and character. Once through that, the branch brings you in for an interview. I only had one interview and had to wait roughly three weeks to know that I got the job.
