      I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Cision (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2022

      Contacted by Cision recruiter. They were seeking a sales rep to not only manage a book of business but also bring best practices to a sales team (director & sales reps) who were inexperienced selling to public sector. Easy interview with Director promising lots of $$$ to be made (found out that was not true) and very strange panel interview with the 2 sellers. One did all the talking (he did not know when to come up for air and let me speak in order for both of us to properly vet each other) and the other rep said not one word. I later found out from him that Cision was broken and a "dumpster fire" and he did not want to say anything to mislead me.

      How do we procure with the Government? We were kicked-off the schedule years ago for our software and services. How do we overcome this? What do we do? We do not have a proposal team to address Government ROM's, RFI, RFP & RFQ's. Our sales team creates from scratch and interacts with Government CO directly. Are you OK with that? We have a small reseller network and do not know how to engage with a larger reseller ecosystem. Will you help us? One seller represents DOJ, Intelligence, Justice and DOD by himself. The other territories are handled by the other seller. We realize the seller who handles DOJ, Intelligence, Justice and DOD by himself has a distinct advantage to making more money that the rest of the sales team. Are you comfortable within this incentive environment? Can we auto-renew the Government? With option years, we send our auto-renew generated emails to Government agencies and are receiving cease and desist responses back. Why does this happen?
