I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2009
Interview
The interview started by phone with HR, then I met with the VP of the organization, then the hiring manager, then the team I would be working with. Everyone was pleasant and the team interview was probably the most rigorous; probably because they had just come out of a bad experience with a prior manager. Overall it seemed long at the time, but a good experience.

Question 1
How would you come in and fix this troubled team? Would you fire people if you had to?
it was great and i got the job and the pay was awesome, i recommend this place to anyone. I am really overwhelmed by the number of words I have to write to use this site.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cisco in Nov 2009
Interview
Very professional. Interviewed by a panel/group of 4 existing IT managers. Asked many of frequently asked interview questions in many of the books in a different form. More of the open ended questions to see how you deal with difficult situations & changes & management skills.
Overall, very positive experience and professional, the interviewers are nice and not trying to embarrass you but to get to know you more.
