The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cisco (Research Triangle Park, NC) in Sept 2011
Interview
The interviewer asked me question based on my resume, the details about the project and my past experience. And then he asked, why cicso? After this, he talked about cisco himself.
Pretty easy, 3 interviews including 1 panel - all remote and a presentation needed for the panel - was straightforward but required specialist experience and knowing some of the teammates e helped

Question 1
Talk about how you turned a difficult customer around
It was difficult especially when getting interviewed by multiple people back to back. However, majority of the questions were based from the job description and technical knowledge as well. Overall, just prepare well and you will do great.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco in Jun 2026
Interview
Applied online, next day got an email from the recruiter 'Beverly' wanting to set up some time to discuss the role. I emailed her back with my availability, but then never heard back.
That night I got an email questioner asking for more info about my background with some AI generated questions. I answered each one, and submitted.
Never got to talk to anyone in person, Beverly never followed up. I am now getting emails saying that I was NOT in their short list. But not ruled out.
What gets me, this is for a 1 month temp role. And they wanted this person to start last Monday according to the job description. Why such a drawn out process for a very short role.
