The interview process felt disproportionately long for an entry point into the company. The initial step requires a 2-3 minute self-recorded video explaining your motivation for wanting to work at Circle, followed by a 45-minute screening call with a recruiter who had limited familiarity with the team's day-to-day work.
The subsequent interview with the hiring manager was disappointing. She seemed disengaged throughout and didn't share much about her own experience or what she values about working at Circle. When I asked about a project she'd led that she felt proud of, her response lacked detail and enthusiasm, which made it hard to get a real sense of the team or its culture.
