The position was to cover a one year contract. The two interviewers were unprepared for the meeting. Had the impression that they were looking at the CV for the first time. They deferred to the candidate to lead the discussions. Very few questions asked — just the standard (Tell us about yourself). The interviewers had difficulty answering questions posed by the candidate. The second interview was also in the same vain and this was with an executive. Was not impressed at all, especially when dealing with accountants who are usually very organized and prepared. This process raised serious concerns on how the company usually operates and whether unpreparedness is part of their culture.
